Principal's office networking devices observation

 REFLECTION:

As what I have reflected in our observation in principal's office, we observe that there're two networking devices, a router (Tp-link), and a modem (globe at home) and we also found a telephone besides the modem, since it is just a one room that's why it only need these networking devices.

Wi-Fi configuration

 REFLECTION:

As what I have reflected when we configure the router, it was challenging but still we did our best, from crimping/making a straight through cable, especially when our group starts to configure the router, it made us all perform as a team. We struggle in the part when we connect the router to the computer, but we still manage to get through it.

Reflection about yesterday's symposium- Agbu

REFLECTION

Reflecting on the symposium yesterday, led by the 4th CMO battalion, I learned how groups like the CPP, NPA and NDF adapt their recruitment strategies. The activities we did together yesterday was very motivating especially for a student like me who is very prone for exploitation. The 4th CMO battalion taught us how we can avoid and not to fall into their trap. The symposium made me feel more safe especially now that I know how to avoid those things and also reminded me to be alert to protect myself for being exploited.

MY REFLECTION

STEPS ON HOW TO DO PEER TO PEER NETWORKING USING CROSS OVER UTP CABLE

Step 1: Click windows+R Step 2: Type ncpa.cpl Step 3: Click Ethernet and go properties. Step 4: Click v4 and go to properties. Step 5: Type the Class A networking of both sides in your partner. Step 6: Go to Command Prompt. Step 7: Type the IP address on your command prompt. Step 8: After all the steps wait for the responding and if the tasks is successful, you're done

REFLECTION:
Last Thursday, we set-up a direct connection between two computers using an Ethernet cable, peer to peer network, we had manually set the IP addresses to make sure both computers are on the same network, when we're done it felt so happy to see how easy to connect two computers directly.

Set-up WIFI Connection

  ROUTER NAME: EA7300

 HOW TO LOG-IN

step 1: Connect to the Network:

  • Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the router or connect via Wi-Fi if the network is already set up.
step 2: Open a Web Browser

Launch a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).

Step 3: Enter Router’s IP Address

In the address bar, type the router's IP address.

Step 4: Log In to the Router

Step 5: Configure Wi-Fi Settings

Step 6: Reconnect to Wi-Fi

Performing Straight-Through Ethernet Cable

   STEPS IN CREATING ETHERNET CABLE

                    1. Measure the length of the cable
                    2. Stripping the cable jacket
                    3. Cut off the pair separator and the ripcord
                    4. Untwist and arrange wires
                    5. Cut wires to the proper length
                    6. Insert wires into the connector
                    7. Crimping the connector
                    8. Testing the cable

 REFLECTION:

What I have reflected on our activity yesterday is that creating ethernet cable isn't that easy and you must properly/correctly cut the wires, and the color combination must be right, so that there's a connection on both ends

Type of Topology

 1. MESH TopologyA mesh topology is a network setup where each device is interconnected with one another, allowing data to be distributed even if one connection fails.

2. STAR TopologyIn this configuration, every node, such as a hub, switch, or computer, connects to a central network device.

3. BUS TopologyBus topology is a  all of the various devices in the network are connected to a single cable or line.

4. RING TopologyA ring topology is a network configuration where device connections create a closed circular data path. Each networked device is connected to two others, like points that form a circle. Together, devices in a ring topology are called a ring network.

5. Hybrid Topology- A hybrid topology can be a combination of bus topology, ring topology and mesh topology.
